Welcome to this week’s 920 Weekly Roundup! Let’s see what’s been in the news this week..
A new meme is gaining a lot of attention and popularity on social media. “Be like Bill” urges people to be considerate of others and behave well online as well as in other situations. The idea, created by Eugeni Croituru and colleague Debabrata Nath, is very basic – ‘Bill’ is anyone who is clever, has common sense and doesn’t do annoying things. Bill can also occasionally make jokes about others and make fun of himself. Of course with anything on the internet – “Be like Bill” is already under attack and has been called a snob.
A man who always has his Fitbit on his wrist noticed that it recorded his heartbreak the day he was broken up with. Fitbits are used to measure your heart rate, steps, and calories. However for this man in Israel, it measured his stress after his break up. According to his Fitbit, the night after his breakup his average heart rate rose by 16 beats per minute. We now have something to show that heartbreak is real!
Many owners of the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus have been reporting issues with their phones battery. The battery life of the phones have been a problem along with the battery indicator being incorrect. According to a page on Apple’s website this seems to occur when users travel between time zones. Somehow when the time zone switches, the battery indicator is prevented from updating correctly. Apple is working on fixing the issues but it is not clear when this fix can be expected. If you’re having this issue Apple has recommended to make sure that your Date & Time is on ‘Set Automatically’.

We hope you have a lovely weekend!
