Business consultancy Bearing Point is reportedly closing its New Zealand operation. The company has 120 staff.
Computerworld inquiries were directed to Bearing Point’s US corporate office, which said Bearing Point remained active in the New Zealand market and maintained an office in Wellington.

But staff and, independently, a personnel company executive say the company is shutting up shop.

Two of Bearing Point’s directors, Suri Bartlett and Chris Day, are directors of a new company, Cadence NZ Ltd, which was twice renamed last week, starting as BE (2008) Ltd, then BearingNZ Ltd.

I imagine this type of activity will continue especially when New Zealand operations are not huge contributors to global organisations bottom lines!

  2. John Says:

The new company has been renamed yet again to “Tenzing” . The website tenzing.co.nz was registered in early December though announcement of withdrawing from New Zealand came from BearingPoint in late December 07.
