For those of you who haven’t come across the LinkedIn site - www.linkedin.com I highly recommend getting involved as it is a great way to keep track of business colleagues. It could also open some doors that you thought were well and truly bolted shut due to one of your network knowing someone you had no idea they knew! Or for those who want to create their own social networking group check out www.ning.com

Late 2008 we saw the merging of two social networking groups – Unlimited Potential and The Wellies (a UK expat IT network group) which should lead to some great events and the merging of some creative minds. Keep an eye out on the www.up.org.nz for regular events.

And for those wanting a great latte and a fantastic brunch I can highly recommend Lower Hutt’s Mitre 10 Mega’s Cafe. I can see people saying “What are you talking about?!” I said the same thing but it is now my favourite cafe in all of Wellington - the prices are competitive, food freshly made and the service is quick and friendly.
